The never-ending greatest of all-time debate between Michael Jordan and LeBron James has a new layer to it with the recent release of "Space Jam: A New Legacy."

To see how James' sequel stacks up against the original "Space Jam," the team at Betonline.ag collected geotagged Twitter data from the last week that included over 200,000 tweets mentioning which movie was better, who acted better, and more. Jordan's "Space Jam" was the favorite of the two movies among Americans, with 28 states preferring it over the sequel.

The original "Space Jam" earned over $250 million worldwide following its release in 1996 and became the highest-grossing basketball film of all time. "Space Jam: A New Legacy" has grossed about $94 million worldwide to date.
