Twitter map shows most of U.S. backing Canadiens in Stanley Cup Final

It appears more Americans would prefer to see the Montreal Canadiens hoist the Stanley Cup this season than the Tampa Bay Lightning.

A map created by Betonline.ag based on geotagged Twitter data from the last week, including over 110,000 tweets, shows the Canadiens are the more popular team with 36 states rooting for them in the Stanley Cup Final.

The Lightning won Game 1 on Monday, defeating the Canadiens 5-1. Game 2 will be played Friday night.
