NHL fans across the United States are apparently jumping on the New York Islanders bandwagon for the Stanley Cup semifinals.
Geotagged Twitter data that Betonline.ag gathered in the last week - including over 100,000 tweets containing official fan hashtags - found the Islanders are the most popular team in the semifinals, with 32 states rooting for them.
The Vegas Golden Knights were the second-most popular club with eight states, followed by the Montreal Canadiens with six states and the defending champion Tampa Bay Lightning with four states.

New York defeated Tampa Bay 2-1 in Game 1 of the series Sunday.
