Kobe's game-worn HS jersey expected to sell for $200K at auction

One of Kobe Bryant's high school basketball jerseys is up for auction, and it could sell for a hefty price.

The game-worn No. 33 Lower Merion jersey is being sold by Leland Auctions, which expects it to fetch over $200,000, according to TMZ Sports. The auction consignor received the jersey from a former NBA player who worked with one of Bryant's early agents.

Bryant attended Lower Merion High School in Ardmore, Pennsylvania, from 1992 to 1996, becoming the first freshman in decades to start for the Aces' varsity team.

"I had invited him to scrimmage against our varsity, and after five minutes of play I turned to my assistant coaches and said, 'This guy's a pro,'" Bryant's high school coach, Gregg Downer, told ESPN in 2010.

As a senior, Bryant helped lead the Aces to a 31-3 record and their first state championship in 50 years. He was named the Naismith High School Player of the Year and Gatorade Men's National Basketball Player of the Year that season.
