Report: Lynch, Shanahan expected to attend Fields' 2nd pro day
San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch and head coach Kyle Shanahan are expected to observe Justin Fields' second pro day April 14, reports NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
The 49ers duo was absent from the Ohio State quarterback's first pro day March 30 and instead watched Mac Jones go through drills at Alabama.
Lynch and Shanahan are widely expected to choose between Fields and Jones with the third overall pick of the 2021 NFL Draft. Most analysts are projecting Jones to the 49ers amid rumors that Lynch and Shanahan are high on his skill set and fit in the team's offensive system.
Fields performed well at his first pro day. The 2019 Heisman Trophy finalist threw for 63 touchdowns versus nine interceptions across two seasons at Ohio State.
