Tony Hawk is retiring his Ollie 540.

The skateboarding legend completed the move for what he says will be the last time ever this week and shared the emotional moment on Twitter.

In an Instagram post, Hawk explained that he started attempting Ollie 540s "as a joke since it seemed there was no way to keep a skateboard on your feet throughout 1 1/2 spins in the air." Landing the trick has become scarier for him in recent years though, which is why he's decided to stop.

"My willingness to slam unexpectedly into the flat bottom has waned greatly over the last decade. So today I decided to do it one more time ... and never again," he wrote.

Hawk said he'll be selling footage of his final Ollie 540 as an NFT (non-fungible token) in the coming weeks.
