Brady declares niece Maya 'most dominant athlete' in family
Tom Brady offered high praise for his niece, UCLA softball player Maya Brady, following her performance in the Bruins' 14-0 win over San Jose State on Sunday.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback retweeted a highlight of Maya hitting a three-run home run in the win along with a message declaring her the GOAT of the Brady family.

Brady made similar remarks about his niece in a 2019 interview with Tara Sullivan of the Boston Globe.
"I think Maya is already the most athletic person of the family," he said. "She's just a great athlete, so competitive. And she's been on such winning teams and she's such a great teammate. It's so impressive."
Maya is the daughter of Brady's oldest sister, Maureen. In 2020, she was named the Softball America Freshman Player of the Year after leading the Bruins with seven home runs and tying for first with 28 RBIs.
