Draymond: Kerr was 'really pissed off' when he fined Drake
Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr recently shared a story about fining Drake, Stephen Curry, and Draymond Green after the trio was late for a team flight. While he's able to laugh about it now, that wasn't the case at the time.
In an interview with Adam Caparell of Complex, Green revealed that Kerr was livid with them for holding up the team.
"We definitely all got fined," Green said. "Drake was definitely at fault because we were standing in the parking lot for an hour after the game, just talking. Then we realized, oh shoot, we have a plane to catch. Ironically, he was heading to L.A. too, so he just hopped on the plane with us. But it wasn't good.
"Steve Kerr is making light of it now, but he was pissed off. Really pissed off. And if I'm not mistaken, I think we got our ass kicked the next day."
Green, Curry, and Drake were each fined $500 by Kerr for the incident, which Drake references on his 2017 track "Free Smoke."
