Bay Hill to allow 25% capacity as Tour continues to welcome back fans

The Arnold Palmer Invitational will host a limited number of fans at Bay Hill Club and Lodge this year, the tournament announced on Thursday.

Spectators will be capped at 25% capacity, which means up to 8,000 people per day can be in attendance, according to ESPN's Bob Harig.

That would make the event the most attended tournament on the PGA Tour since the 2020 Players Championship was canceled in March.

The Waste Management Phoenix Open, which runs from Feb. 4 to 7, will allow up to 5,000 spectators per day compared to the 100,000 per round it typically holds.

The Players Championship and Honda Classic - the two Florida events following the Arnold Palmer Invitational - are expected to continue the trend of increased fan numbers, according to Harig.
