A majority of fans across the United States believe the Los Angeles Lakers are on track to win their second straight NBA title.

Half of the U.S. is predicting the Lakers to repeat as champions this season, according to geotagged tweets gathered by Betonline.ag since the start of the preseason, which included keyword phrases such as "2021 NBA champ" and "2021 NBA championship."

The second-most popular pick was the Milwaukee Bucks, who were favored to win the NBA championship in eight states.
