Buffalo Bills cornerback Josh Norman is stepping up to help local businesses amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Norman announced Tuesday that he plans to use $25,000 of his own money to donate up to $2,500 to small businesses in Buffalo as part of an initiative called Buffalo Business Blitz, according to WGRZ. He also encouraged others to donate to the initiative with the goal of raising $1 million.

"I'm calling on local business leaders and philanthropists to add to our donation so we can support as many businesses as possible," Norman said. "And to the Bills Mafia, I've seen what you are capable of. I want you to give what you can because without these small businesses, Buffalo is not the same secret."

Norman signed a one-year deal with the Bills in March after spending the last four seasons with the Washington Football Team.
