Report: Tyson Fury, Agit Kabayel finalizing fight for Dec. 5
Tyson Fury and Agit Kabayel are in the process of finalizing an agreement for a heavyweight bout on Dec. 5, sources told Mike Coppinger of The Athletic.
The fight is expected to take place at Royal Albert Hall in London and broadcast on ESPN and BT Sport Box Office.
Fury was slated to face off against Deontay Wilder in a trilogy bout scheduled for July 18. That fight was postponed to October after a Wilder injury, and the coronavirus pandemic later spoiled those plans.
Fury (30-0-1, 21 KOs) is the WBC and lineal heavyweight titleholder. The 32-year-old last fought in February, scoring a seventh-round TKO against Wilder.
Kabayel (20-0-0, 13 KOs) last fought in July, defeating Evgenios Lazaridis via unanimous decision. The 28-year-old German's most notable victory came against Dereck Chisora in 2017 in a majority decision.
