Rooting interest in the 2020 NBA Finals is overwhelmingly in favor of the Los Angeles Lakers, according to new Twitter data.
A map from Betonline.ag shows that 42 states are cheering for the Lakers in the Finals, compared to just eight states supporting the Miami Heat. The map was created using over 100,000 geotagged tweets gathered in the last week, including fan hashtags like #LakeShow, #LakersNation, #UnitedInBlack, and #HeatCulture.
The Lakers defeated the Heat 124-114 Friday to take a 2-0 series lead.
