Report: Godwin to miss Week 4 with hamstring pull, possibly Week 5
An MRI showed that Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin suffered a mild hamstring pull, and he'll miss this Sunday's matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers as a result, a source told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Godwin could also be out next Thursday against the Chicago Bears, but he shouldn't be sidelined for much longer after Week 5, Rapoport adds.
The star wideout pulled his hamstring in the fourth quarter of this past Sunday's win over the Denver Broncos, and he quickly exited before being ruled out.
In his first season catching passes from Tom Brady, Godwin has hauled in 11 receptions for 143 yards and one touchdown across three games. He broke out for 86 catches, 1,333 yards, and nine scores in 2019.
Mike Evans, Scotty Miller, and Rob Gronkowski will need to step up in Godwin's absence.
