Johnny Manziel is happy to see Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson purchase the XFL, but that isn't enough to lure him back to football.

The former Heisman Trophy winner and 2014 Cleveland Browns first-round pick reaffirmed his retirement while speaking to TMZ Sports in Los Angeles Friday.

"I'm retired, dude ... listen, anything The Rock touches is going to be gold, as always. But, I think football is a little bit behind me," Manziel said. "I'm just trying to do other things in life that make me happy, that's it."

Manziel didn't completely close the door on a comeback, though.

"You never say never, right? I'm still an athletic guy, I still go work out, still do a lot of stuff," he said. "If I don't pick a football up in my hand, I don't feel normal for the most part. But at the end of the day, let's see where the rest of life takes me. We'll go from there."

The 27-year-old appeared in 14 games over his two seasons with the Browns. He joined the CFL in 2018 and then had a brief stint in the AAF, which folded after eight weeks.
