Report: Nuggets close practice facility after positive COVID-19 results
The Denver Nuggets have temporarily closed their practice facility after positive tests for COVID-19 were recorded among members of the team's traveling party set to head to Orlando next week, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Further testing in the next few days will reportedly determine when the facility can reopen to players and staff.
The Nuggets are among the 22 NBA teams set to arrive at the league's Orlando bubble from July 7 to 9. Commissioner Adam Silver said that while no environment is completely risk-free, only a "significant spread" of the coronavirus inside the bubble would cause the NBA to stop play.
Nuggets center Nikola Jokic reportedly tested positive for the coronavirus last week in Serbia, with the diagnosis delaying his return to the United States. Head coach Mike Malone also revealed that an antibody test indicated he had the illness this spring.
