LeBron James and his production company are helping to tell the story of the Tulsa race massacre.
The 1921 attack - one of the worst acts of racial violence in United States history - will be the subject of an upcoming documentary produced by James' SpringHill Entertainment, according to Nellie Andreeva of Deadline. Salima Koroma will direct and executive produce the documentary.

In the massacre, mobs of white residents attacked and destroyed the Greenwood District in Tulsa, Oklahoma, which was otherwise known as "Black Wall Street" and was the wealthiest black community in the U.S. at the time.
SpringHill said in a tweet that Koroma pitched her idea for the documentary in April and the company "knew we had to empower her to tell that story."
