Packers fans named 'America's most passionate' sports fan base

A new study by Forbes has determined the Green Bay Packers have the most devoted fan base of any North American professional sports team, and it's not only because of their decades-long season-ticket waiting list.

Forbes used local television ratings, stadium attendance based on capacity reached, secondary ticket demand, merchandise sales, and social media reach for every team in the NFL, NBA, NHL, and MLB to compile its list of the 10 most passionate sports fan bases. The Packers ranked No. 1 overall, followed by the New England Patriots.

The NFL was the most represented league in the top 10, with its teams claiming the first six spots.
