Move over, Joe Exotic - "The Last Dance" is now the world's most popular documentary.

The ESPN series on the 1997-98 Chicago Bulls has overtaken Netflix's "Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness" as the most in-demand documentary in the world, Lucas Shaw of Bloomberg reports.

"The Last Dance" was one of the 20 most in-demand shows worldwide this week and the 11th-ranked show overall in the U.S., according to Parrot Analytics, a research firm that uses social media interactions and piracy to track audience interest.

"We are tracking a rise in demand for sports documentaries during the coronavirus pandemic," Steve Langdon, a director of partnerships at Parrot, told Bloomberg.

The first two episodes of "The Last Dance" averaged 6.1 million viewers, making it the most-watched documentary in ESPN history.
