Rival teams speculate the Atlanta Falcons will trade up from the 16th overall position in Round 1 of the 2020 NFL Draft, reports Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
The Falcons have reportedly spent more time talking to prospects who are unlikely to be available at No. 16 overall.
Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff has moved up in the opening round five times since 2008, according to NFL Network's James Palmer. He traded a pair of first-round picks, a second-round selection, and two fourth-rounders to climb from No. 27 to No. 6 for wide receiver Julio Jones in 2011.
Atlanta is equipped with one pick in each of the first three rounds of the 2020 draft, along with two in the fourth and one in the seventh.
