Report: NBA delivers memo detailing team practices, travel policies

The NBA reportedly sent a memo to teams detailing a number of new policies related to team practices, facility operations, and travel during the suspension of the league schedule.

The league has banned all team practices indefinitely, although players can still work out individually at team facilities, according to ESPN's Tim Bontemps.

The NBA also recommended teams check the temperature of anyone entering the facilities, per Bontemps.

Additionally, players will now be permitted to travel outside their teams' home markets after consulting with their organization, according to The Athletic's Shams Charania. Those players must update their team with their location, stay at home, and practice social distancing.

Teams will be allowed to pay for a portion of the players' travel costs, according to Charania.

Although NBA commissioner Adam Silver has said the league stoppage will last at least 30 days, some owners and executives are reportedly targeting a best-case scenario that sees game action resume in mid-to-late June.
