Fantasy cheat sheet: 2020 offensive team needs

Before the chaos of free agency and the NFL draft take hold, here's a quick breakdown of the offensive position groups that teams should be addressing this offseason.

Arizona Cardinals

• After a strong rookie season, Kyler Murray is poised to make a significant leap in Year 2 as long as the Cardinals' front office can upgrade the talent around him.

Atlanta Falcons

• Injuries have taken their toll on Devonta Freeman's effectiveness, so finding a playmaking running back to share the load or potentially replace him outright will be priority No. 1 for the Falcons.

Baltimore Ravens

• It's possible that last year's draft picks Marquise Brown and Miles Boykin will emerge as steady contributors at receiver, but until they do, Baltimore would be wise to stockpile weapons in Lamar Jackson's arsenal.

Buffalo Bills

• John Brown had a career year during his first season in Buffalo, and Cole Beasley proved to be a safety net in the slot for Josh Allen. Now, general manager Brandon Beane needs to find another quality target to round out three-wide sets.

Carolina Panthers

• Cam Newton's future with the Panthers is still up in the air. With veterans Luke Kuechly and Greg Olsen already gone, it's possible the new regime elects to begin their reign by replacing the franchise's longtime quarterback.

Chicago Bears

• Three inconsistent seasons might be enough for the Bears to move on from Mitch Trubisky as the team's starting quarterback, especially given the rest of the roster is built to contend now.

Cincinnati Bengals

• The Bengals will select Joe Burrow with the first overall pick, but improving their offensive line will be key to their new franchise quarterback's early career success.

Cleveland Browns

• The Browns have one of the most talented skill position groups in the entire league, which will allow them to shift focus toward rebuilding their blocking unit.

Dallas Cowboys

• As long as the Cowboys find a way to get Dak Prescott and Amari Cooper back under contract, their only real area of need on offense will be at tight end. If in-house option Blake Jarwin can fill that void, then Dallas can spend their offseason beefing up the defense.

Denver Broncos

• Courtland Sutton is a star, but the Broncos could use more than one receiver to help round out their depth chart and give sophomore quarterback Drew Lock the best chance to produce.

Detroit Lions

• For a team that didn't come close to the playoffs, the Lions have a fairly complete set of offensive pieces. However, they may feel compelled to find a more reliable running back after Kerryon Johnson spent the bulk of his first two NFL seasons injured.

Green Bay Packers

• When Aaron Rodgers isn't voicing his displeasure with the latest CBA offer, he's likely expressing his desire to acquire another receiver to pair with Davante Adams.

Houston Texans

• The Texans could use help at every offensive position outside of quarterback, though running back and offensive line represent the most glaring needs.

Indianapolis Colts

• Jacoby Brissett did an admirable job taking over after Andrew Luck's sudden retirement, he's just more of a placeholder than a long-term solution at the position.

Jacksonville Jaguars

• The Jaguars are another team that could use an infusion of new blood at almost every level of their offense.

Kansas City Chiefs

• Was Damien Williams' second straight late-season surge enough to keep him in the lead back role for another year?

Las Vegas Raiders

• The Antonio Brown experiment failed miserably and left the Raiders with a massive hole at wideout. They can't go another year with tight end Darren Waller being their only viable pass-catching threat.

Los Angeles Chargers

• Philip Rivers' replacement will be one of the most interesting storylines of the offseason. With a decent quarterback and some additions to the offensive line, the Chargers could make a deep playoff run.

Los Angeles Rams

• A decision on Todd Gurley's future will attract all the headlines, but the Rams aren't going anywhere if they don't fix their problems on the offensive line.

Miami Dolphins

• The Dolphins may have more needs than any team in the league. Fortunately, they have the draft picks and cap space to start solving those issues in 2020.

Minnesota Vikings

• Minnesota's offensive line made strides this season and should continue to be a priority for their front office.

New England Patriots

• With several reports suggesting Tom Brady could actually leave New England, Bill Belichick could be looking for a new signal-caller while still hunting for a Rob Gronkowski replacement at tight end.

New Orleans Saints

• The search for a No. 2 receiver who can consistently produce continues. Luckily for the Saints, their top wideout Michael Thomas does the work of two men.

New York Giants

• Daniel Jones was gifted one of the best supporting casts a quarterback could ask for, but insulating him with better blocking is imperative.

New York Jets

• Robby Anderson is heading to free agency, leaving the Jets without a true outside threat at receiver.

Philadelphia Eagles

• Injuries and aging players have turned the Eagles' receiving corps from a strength to a pressing need. Even if J.J. Arcega-Whiteside rebounds from a subpar rookie campaign, Philly will still require reinforcements at the position.

Pittsburgh Steelers

• With all the quarterbacks from Ben Roethlisberger's draft class retired or in a state of rapid decline, it's safe to wonder whether he'll have much left in the tank after a year off. The time is now to find his successor.

San Francisco 49ers

• Deebo Samuel was a difference-maker down the stretch, but with Emmanuel Sanders hitting free agency, the 49ers will be in the market for receiver help.

Seattle Seahawks

• Whether it's protecting Russell Wilson or powering their rushing attack, offensive line is at the top of the Seahawks' list this offseason.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

• Fantasy managers have been daydreaming about what a high-end running back could do in Tampa's offense for several years now. Will this be the season it finally happens?

Tennessee Titans

• Until we know how the Titans plan to approach Ryan Tannehill's and Derrick Henry's contract situations, it's hard to judge their offensive needs.

Washington Redskins

• Washington made the tough decision to release Jordan Reed due to his long history of concussions. With no real replacement on the roster, the organization will have to look elsewhere for a new starter.
