T.O. fires back after McNabb blames him for breaking up Eagles
Terrell Owens didn't take kindly to former teammate Donovan McNabb blaming his antics for the downfall of the Philadelphia Eagles team that made it to Super Bowl XXXIX.
In an episode of "Untold Stories" with Bleacher Report's Master Tesfatsion, the former quarterback said he believes Owens' contract dispute with the Eagles the following season was a "major distraction" for the rest of the team and "broke us up."
Owens took to Twitter on Wednesday night to call out McNabb, saying he "can't wait" to tell his story.
The former receiver then took more shots at McNabb.
Owens was ultimately released by the Eagles in 2006 after two seasons with the franchise and went on to join the Dallas Cowboys. McNabb remained in Philadelphia until 2009 and ranks as the team's all-time passing leader with 32,873 yards and 216 touchdowns.
