The Toronto Blue Jays have agreed to a minor-league deal with infielder Ruben Tejada, according to Jon Heyman of MLB Network.

The agreement includes an invite to spring training camp.

Tejada spent the 2019 season in the New York Mets organization, playing predominantly at Triple-A. At the big-league level, Tejada went hitless in nine trips to the plate over six games.

The 30-year-old owns a .250/.324/.317 slash line in nine major-league seasons. He's mostly played shortstop over that span, but the utility man has also spent time at second base and third base.
