Marshawn Lynch is turning to "Bar Rescue" to help revamp his Emeryville, California, soul food restaurant.
The Seattle Seahawks running back and his bar, Rob Ben's, will be featured on the new season of the Paramount reality series, premiering March 1. The series follows host and nightlife expert Jon Taffer as he seeks to turn around struggling bars and restaurants.
Rob Ben's - named after a childhood friend of Lynch's who was gunned down in 2007 - replaced another soul food restaurant, Scend's, which Lynch took over two years ago when the previous owner retired. The "Bar Rescue" appearance includes a remodeling and the addition of several new menu items, according to Justin Phillips of the San Francisco Chronicle
"I thought (Taffer) was going to come in and just rip everybody apart," Lynch told Phillips in October. "And at the time, that was what I was hoping for. I knew there would be some backlash from our staff, but eventually, everyone was able to see it his way."
