Prescott dealing with shoulder injury, expected to play vs. Eagles
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott injured his throwing shoulder last week but is expected to be ready for Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles, head coach Jason Garrett said Wednesday, according to Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News.
Prescott was hurt in the first quarter of the win over the Los Angeles Rams. While he was able to finish the game, the quarterback had a season-low 23 attempts in the 44-21 blowout.
"We don't anticipate him throwing much in practice today," said Garrett.
Dallas was encouraged by the results of Prescott's MRI, but the team wants to protect him in practice ahead of what is essentially a division-deciding game, per Gehlken.
Prescott is in the midst of a career year. He is second in the league in passing yards (4,334) and has already thrown for the most touchdowns in his four NFL seasons (26) with two games remaining.
