The NFL is expected to rule on the suspension appeals stemming from Thursday night's brawl between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns no later than Wednesday, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The verdicts on the three appeals, which jointly appointed officers Derrick Brooks and James Thrash will judge, reportedly could come as soon as Tuesday.

Browns defensive end Myles Garrett is currently set to miss at least the rest of the season, including any potential playoff games, for swinging Mason Rudolph's helmet at the quarterback in the final seconds of the game.

Meanwhile, Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey and Browns defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi received bans of three games and one game, respectively, for their roles in the melee.

The NFL labeled Garrett's discipline an indefinite suspension, saying he'll need to meet with the league "prior to a decision on his reinstatement."

However, Garrett will argue the collective bargaining agreement doesn't permit indefinite suspensions for on-field acts, and he'll aim to get his punishment reduced to a finite number of games, a source told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

One of Schefter's sources wouldn't be surprised if at least one of the three suspensions is reduced or overturned.

Additionally, the NFL is set to fine a lengthy list of other players.

It was previously reported that Rudolph is facing a fine, and Schefter adds the amount could be $35,096 for a first-time fighting offense. The league is also reportedly planning to fine approximately 10 players for leaving the bench area and running onto the field.
