Jason Garrett may not be done with the NFC East even if he's not re-signed by the Dallas Cowboys.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that if Garrett is allowed to walk by the Cowboys and the New York Giants move on from head coach Pat Shurmur, the Giants are Garrett's preferred next destination, and they're a "real and legitimate" landing spot for him.
Garrett is in the final year of his contract with Dallas and currently has the 6-4 Cowboys in first place in the division.
The Giants are 2-8 in Shurmur's second year at the helm. He has a 7-19 overall record with New York.
