Week 7 of the NFL regular season starts on Thursday when the Denver Broncos host the Kansas City Chiefs. Here are the best player props to consider for the prime-time, divisional clash.
Phillip Lindsay over 15.5 rushing attempts
This seems ... low, right? Lindsay has only topped more than 15 rushing attempts in a game once, which came back in Week 3 against the Packers; he's been close the last two games, seeing 15 attempts in both. But it's tough to envision Broncos head coach Vic Fangio wanting to get into a shootout with the Chiefs. There's potentially a point later in the game where Denver is trailing and quarterback Joe Flacco is dropping back more than the offense would prefer. But if we've learned anything the last two weeks, it's that the key to beating the Chiefs is winning the time of possession battle. Indianapolis had the ball for 15-plus more minutes than Kansas City in Week 5 and Houston had a 19-plus minute edge last Sunday. Lindsay should see the bulk of touches early and enough late in the game to get this over the total.
LeSean McCoy over 14.5 receiving yards
Denver's done a poor job of guarding running backs in the passing game, allowing 35 receptions to the position over the first six weeks. Overall, the Broncos are allowing quarterbacks to complete 76% of their passes to running backs this season. McCoy's split time in the backfield but has had some success in the passing game. He's had multiple targets in all but one contest this season and has 23 or more receiving yards in three of the last four games.
Royce Freeman over 23.5 receiving yards
Freeman, who's been splitting reps with Lindsay, has value in the passing game, where he's seen at least four targets in four of the last five contests. He's already caught 21 balls for 145 yards this season. Kansas City's defense has also struggled to contain running backs in the passing game, allowing nearly 42 receiving yards to tailbacks per week.
