Florida quarterback Feleipe Franks is unlikely to play again in 2019 after suffering a major ankle injury Saturday versus Kentucky.

"They feel pretty certain that there was a break with the dislocation and he'll be done for the season," head coach Dan Mullen said postgame, according to Nick de la Torre of GatorCountry.com.

Franks was tackled awkwardly at the end of a fourth-down scramble in the third quarter. He got bent backward while all of his momentum was going forward. He was carted off the field.

The junior was replaced by Kyle Trask, who led Florida to a 29-21 comeback win on the road. Kentucky had an opportunity to kick a go-ahead field goal in the final minute of the fourth quarter, but freshman Chance Poore missed from 35 yards out.

Franks guided the Gators to a 2-0 start to the season and the No. 9 ranking in the AP Poll. He entered action against the Wildcats completing nearly 78% of his passes with four touchdowns and two interceptions.
