Drake has name-dropped a number of athletes in his songs, and New York Knicks rookie RJ Barrett hopes to be next.
Barrett requested a shoutout from the rapper and fellow Toronto native in a wide-ranging interview with Ben Detrick of GQ.
"My main man, Drizzy. Shout me out, please," Barrett said when asked who he would want to reference him in a song.
Drake has already shown love to the former Duke star on Instagram, posting a photo of himself wearing Barrett's high school jersey while on vacation in December.
Barrett will face his hometown Raptors on Nov. 27 in Toronto.
