Growing up near LeBron James in Ohio had its perks for New Orleans Saints wide receiver Ted Ginn Jr.
During an appearance on Fox Sports 1's "Fair Game" with Kristine Leahy, Ginn shared a story about borrowing one of the NBA star's cars for his prom.
"We had plenty of times that we hung out, crossed paths at a lot of different events and different things like that growing up ... in my senior year, I drove his car to prom," Ginn said. "My wife's senior year, we drove one of his cars to prom."
Ginn said he drove a Denali truck to his prom and a BMW the following year.
"You usually go out and get some kind of rental car. Well, I rented mine from LeBron," he said, adding that it was a "keep-up-the-good-work-type deal."
Ginn attended Glenville High School in Cleveland, less than an hour away from James' hometown of Akron.
