Michael Jordan will be among the competitors taking part in this year's White Marlin Open.
The NBA legend has registered his 80-foot Viking sportfishing yacht, Catch 23, for the annual tournament in Ocean City, Md., according to Shawn Soperill of The Dispatch. Jordan and his crew are entry No. 123.
Touted as the world's largest billfish tournament, the White Marlin Open draws thousands of anglers and spectators every summer. More than $5 million in prize money was awarded at last year's event.
The tournament gets underway Aug. 4 and continues through Aug. 12.
