The Vegas Golden Knights have signed defenseman Deryk Engelland to a one-year contract with a base salary of $700,000, the team announced Tuesday.
The deal includes incentives that could push the contract's average annual value up to $1.5 million.
Engelland, 37, played 74 games for the Golden Knights in 2018-19, averaging just under 20 minutes per night. He recorded two goals and 10 assists during the campaign.
Vegas selected Engelland from the Calgary Flames in the 2017 NHL Expansion Draft.
