Report: Rockets pursuing trade for Iguodala
The Houston Rockets are pursuing a trade for Memphis Grizzlies swingman Andre Iguodala, according to The Athletic's Sam Amick.
Houston could use a veteran two-way contributor off the bench following Thursday's blockbuster acquisition of Russell Westbrook.
Iguodala, 35, was dealt from the Golden State Warriors to Memphis in a cap move on June 30, with the Grizzlies anticipated to flip him before the season begins. It's widely expected the 15-year NBA veteran will land with a title contender, and Amick reports the Los Angeles Clippers are also potential suitors.
Iguodala nearly joined the Rockets as a free agent in 2017 but returned to Golden State on a three-year, $48-million deal. He's owed $17 million this coming season, the final year of his contract.
