The Sacramento Kings are expected to finalize a four-year, $85-million deal with Harrison Barnes, sources told The Athletic's Sam Amick.

The deal will decline annually with the final year accounting for just 14 percent of the cap, Amick reports.

The contract gives the Kings significantly more flexibility for the future after Barnes surprisingly declined his $24.1-million player option.

The North Carolina product remains an effective 3-and-D player at either forward spot.

Sacramento acquired Barnes from the Dallas Mavericks ahead of February's trade deadline in exchange for Justin Jackson and Zach Randolph.

The 27-year-old averaged 14.3 points and 5.5 rebounds in 28 games with the Kings.
