The Los Angeles Clippers will have an opportunity to convince expected free-agent forward Kawhi Leonard to come back home and will meet with the NBA Finals MVP on July 2, sources told The Athletic's Frank Isola.
A move to L.A. is anything but assured as Leonard is reportedly seriously considering re-signing with the Toronto Raptors after they won their first championship in franchise history.
Leonard has been linked to the Clippers since demanding a trade while with the San Antonio Spurs. Toronto swooped in last summer and acquired the two-time Defensive Player of the Year and quickly built a title contender.
The Clippers are expected to be major players on the free-agent market with as much as $71 million in cap space.
