As the son of a NASA engineer, Boston Celtics first-round draft pick Grant Williams isn't one to subscribe to conspiracy theories about the Earth and outer space.

"With my mom, I don't really think of theories," Williams said in an interview with Stadium's Shams Charania. "I kind of know for sure what's what. So, it's kind of nice to have that mindset."

One theory Williams definitely isn't on board with is that the Earth is flat - a notion perpetrated by Celtics point guard Kyrie Irving.

"Kyrie's Earth-is-flat theory is just scientifically not true," he said. "That's the one thing I can debunk, if we're being pretty honest, 'cause that's just not true at all."

Irving appeared to walk back his flat-Earth claims during a discussion at the Forbes Under 30 Summit in February, acknowledging that he "just didn't realize the effect" his comments would have.
