No update on Gordon's suspension review as Patriots camp approaches
As the New England Patriots prepare to open training camp in five weeks, the team has yet to receive a timetable regarding suspended receiver Josh Gordon.
An NFL spokesperson told The Athletic's Jeff Howe on Wednesday that the league had no update regarding Gordon's status or when his ban could be reviewed.
The 28-year-old wideout was suspended indefinitely in December for multiple violations of his previous reinstatement under the league's substance abuse policy.
It was reported in February that Gordon had a chance to be reinstated in time for training camp ahead of the 2019 season.
Gordon started 11 games for the Patriots following a trade from the Cleveland Browns in September, catching 40 of 68 targets for 720 yards and three touchdowns.
