Two women described as Le'Veon Bell's girlfriends disappeared from his Florida home with $520,000 worth of jewelry, according to a police report obtained by The Associated Press.
Bell arrived home from the gym on May 25 to find that the women and his jewelry were gone. He said his closet was left in a state of disarray and two gold chains with diamonds, a black panther pendant with black and white diamonds, and a Rolex had vanished.
Authorities are investigating the complaint on behalf of the running back, who signed a four-year, $52.5-million contract with the New York Jets in March.
Bell joined the Jets for mandatory minicamp at the beginning of the week after working out on his own during the earlier portions of the offseason program.
