An unidentified woman has accused Neymar of raping her in a Paris hotel room, according to a Brazilian police document obtained by Mauricio Savarese of The Associated Press.

The incident took place May 15 at 8:20 p.m. in the French capital, according to the document. The woman went to police in Sao Paulo on Friday, reports Savarese.

The woman says she met the Paris Saint-Germain forward in France after exchanging Instagram messages with him, according to Savarese, and told police that one of the player's representatives bought her tickets to Paris and booked her a hotel room.

Neymar arrived at the room apparently drunk at 8 p.m., the woman said, and forcibly had sex with her without her consent.

Based on a description from the woman, the police report said they "touched each other, but in a given moment Neymar became aggressive and, with violence, had sexual intercourse against the victim's will."

The player's representatives have not responded to a request for comment from The Associated Press. Neymar's father and agent, Neymar Santos Sr., denied any wrongdoing on the part of his son during a television interview and reportedly called the allegations "a setup."

"This is a tough moment. If we can't show the truth quickly it will be a snowball. If we have to show Neymar's WhatsApp messages and the conversations with this lady, we will," Santos Sr. told Brazilian network TV Band, according to Savarese.

Neymar, 27, is currently in Brazil ahead of the Copa America tournament, which begins in two weeks.
