Tom Brady is looking to trademark one of his nicknames.
The New England Patriots quarterback's company submitted two applications to the United States Patent and Trademark Office to trademark "Tom Terrific," according to Josh Gerben of Gerben Law Firm.

There does seem to be some debate about which athlete the nickname is most synonymous with, though. As several Twitter users pointed out, former New York Mets pitcher Tom Seaver was also known as "Tom Terrific."

Tom Terrific pitched for the NY Mets. Who is this Tom Brady you speak of?

I think the @Mets would have something to say about that as EVERYONE knows Tom Seaver, in addition to being called "The Franchise" is also widely known as "Tom Terrific".
