Tiger skips final practice day at Bethpage Black
Tiger Woods was nowhere to be found at Bethpage Black on Wednesday, opting for rest over one final practice day prior to the PGA Championship.
His agent, Mark Steinberg, insisted his client isn't dealing with any sort of injury or illness, according to ESPN's Bob Harig.
"He's all good, just getting some rest," Steinberg said. "(He) saw the course last week, all is good."
Tiger only played nine holes on Tuesday in addition to last week's full practice round.
The PGA Championship marks Woods' first event since winning the Masters. He skipped the Wells Fargo Championship as well, admitting he wasn't ready to return after his victory at Augusta.
Tiger won the 2002 U.S. Open at Bethpage Black. He also played the course during tournament competition in 2009 and 2012.
