With the 33rd pick in the 2019 MLB amateur draft, the Arizona Diamondbacks selected Brennan Malone, a high school pitcher out of Florida.

The pick was awarded to the Diamondbacks as compensation for losing left-handed pitcher Patrick Corbin to free agency this past winter.

Malone is a big, strong power pitcher who features one of the best fastballs available in the draft, recently touching 97 mph with his heater.

He was selected to play in the 2018 Perfect Game All-American Classic and struck out two in a clean inning of work against some of the nation's brightest, young talent.
