Collins: Giants thought Beckham 'was a problem the whole time'

Odell Beckham Jr. was traded to the Cleveland Browns nearly two months ago, but aftershocks can still be felt around the league.

Washington Redskins safety Landon Collins recently opened up about his former teammate, claiming the New York Giants viewed Beckham's personality as an issue.

"Was I shocked with Odell? No, honestly, not," Collins told Ryan Dunleavy of NJ.com. "(The Giants) felt like he was a problem the whole time. Ever since Odell stepped into the league with them, they felt like he was a problem, I felt like from the outside."

Collins insisted that although ownership may have clashed with Beckham, his Giants teammates did not.

"We loved him," he said. "Odell is my brother. He is not that kind of guy, or what people think he is about or what the organization did. I don't know why."

Beckham has alluded to a strained relationship with the Giants on multiple occasions this offseason. After general manager Dave Gettleman claimed in April that New York had freed itself from culture problems, the wideout tweeted: "I'm cancer to a place that's OK (with) losing."
