With the fifth pick in the 2019 MLB amateur draft, the Detroit Tigers selected high school outfielder Riley Greene.
A Florida native, Greene is one of the most revered hitters in the 2019 draft class. His glove likely plays in a corner outfield spot, though some scouts foresee he'll need to transition to first base. The lefty turned heads during the Under Armour All-America Game last year and continues to get results despite a small hitch in his swing.
