The Phoenix Suns interviewed Philadelphia 76ers assistant Monty Williams for their head coaching vacancy Friday night in Toronto, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, who adds they will meet with Portland Trail Blazers assistants David Vanterpool and Nate Tibbetts Saturday.
Williams is in Toronto with the 76ers for the start of their second-round playoff series with the Raptors on Saturday. He is reported to be the Suns' top target following the firing of Igor Kokoskov this week.
Vanterpool has been an assistant coach with Portland since 2012. Tibbetts has been with the Blazers for the last six seasons after two years as an assistant with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
