"Johnny Football" is no more.
While appearing on "The Dan Patrick Show" on Monday, Johnny Manziel revealed he's now going by John Manziel.
"I actually go by John these days," the quarterback said. "So, you know, I'm just kinda turning over the page and moving forward a little bit."
Manziel also spoke about the demise of the Alliance of American Football and his time in the CFL, though he declined to go into detail about why he was released by the Montreal Alouettes.
"I don't really know about going into a ton of details of everything that happened, but looking back at it now, I'm happy," he said. "Memphis was exactly what I needed in my life."
