Alliance of American Football players are officially allowed to sign with NFL teams, the league announced Thursday.

The NFL reportedly sent a memo Wednesday discouraging clubs to contact AAF players until the league allowed them to pursue other opportunities or officially folded.

With authorization from the Alliance, it appears NFL squads are now free to contact players and their agents after already identifying prospects whom they'd be interested in.

Though the AAF suspended operations on Tuesday, it has yet to completely fold. The league did, however, circulate an internal memo terminating its employees.
