As fantasy baseball owners vie for league supremacy each season, one of the best ways to find that extra competitive edge is by determining players to target in the late rounds of a draft or on the waiver wire.
It often depends on need. You can't have too much of a good thing, but if you're deep at third base and thin at shortstop it might not behoove you to score big on a surprise slugger at the hot corner.
Here are some options for deep sleepers at each position. Ideally, these players should be available near the end of your draft or even off the wire in the early weeks of the regular season; that disqualifies players like Jurickson Profar and Rafael Devers, both of whom appeared in our post-hype sleepers piece.
Note: To avoid repetition within our lists, we've elected to use each player's primary position only. We're also including 10 pitchers since regular-season usage depends on a number of factors and roles can often be fluid.
